EAGLES NAMED TO ALL-STATE TEAMS

Senior Austin King was named to the 1st team All-State Defense as a Linebacker. Junior Joshua Gibson was named to the 2nd team All-State Defense as a Lineman and to the 2nd team Offense as Running Back. Congratulations to these athletes!

Senior Austin King has been named to the South All-Star football team by TAPPS. He will play against the North All-Stars on December 15 at 6:00 pm at Crowley H.S. Senior Kevin Ward was named as an alternate to the South squad. Only one other PD player has ever been named to a six-man all-star team. Congratulations Austin and Kevin!

Junior Rachel Puckett was named to the TAPPS Honorable Mention All State Volleyball team for 2A schools. Congratulations Rachel!

Eagles win Regional game! We defeated Brazosport Christian 7-6 on Nov. 24. This was our first time to beat BCS in football. PD advances to the state semi-final playoff game against Denton Calvary on Saturday, December 1. The game will be played at Moody High School at 2:00 pm. Moody is near Waco. Go Eagles!

Eagles defeat Abilene Christian H.S. 45-20 to win bi-district game. ACHS led 20-19 at the half but PD shut them out the 2nd half while scoring 26 points. This is the first bi-district win in school history! Congratulations to Coach Ware and the varsity Eagles for a 9-2 season record. We will host the Regional playoff game on Nov. 24 at 2:00 pm vs Lake Jackson Brazosport Christian. A large crowd is expected at Eagle Field for this contest.

:Varsity Football is in the TAPPS playoffs for the second straight year! We play a bi-district game at 2:00 pm on Saturday, Nov. 17, in Abilene vs Abilene Christian HS at Abilene Christian University. A chartered bus is being planned for fans who want to attend the game. Call the athletic office for details. ... The bus is 95% full as of Nov.16. Call Mrs. King now if you plan to ride with us. Go Eagles! The team bus left school at 11:00 am Friday, Nov. 16. Thanks to the Galveston County Sheriff's Department for the two escort vehicles that led the bus out of the county on Friday!
